Gel Overlay vs. Silk Wrap

I'm interested in removing my acrylic nails and having a gel overlay applied, but I love the nail art! Can nail art be applied to gel overlay?

Yes you can put any polish or nail art that you had on acrylic you can apply to gel and it will hold up just as well asit did before.

QUESTION:Hi Amber,
It's JoJo again. I had the gel overlay applied to my nails and you were right...the shine is beautiful and long lasting and the nail art went on just like with acrylic, however it didn't last as long, but I was still pleased.

I key data entry, so my nails grow really fast, but they are still thin and weak. Would silk wrap allow my nails to breathe so that they can harden or am I stuck with gel overlay forever?

Hi JoJo,

Ok You said you had an overlay put on top of your natural nails! The seal gets compromised depending on how hard you are on your nails,one way to avoid this is to have your nails extended just a bit this will give room for the wear from typing without ever getting down to the natural tip.Which in turn wont break any seal.If you talk to your tech they should know what to do!
